Meet Anthony
Posted on January 2, 2022I was born and raised in Suffolk County. Both of my parents are U.S. Navy veterans. They were hard working parents who had multiple jobs to keep up with the expense of living here on Long Island. Their struggles and perseverance in providing a home for myself and siblings has never been far from my thoughts.
I live in East Setauket with my wife Christine of 12 years, a registered nurse at a local hospital. We are blessed with three beautiful children who are enrolled in Three Village School District. I was the first in my family to graduate from college. While attending Stony Brook University, I worked an early morning stock room shift at a local business in Port Jefferson Village to pay my way. As lifelong residents of Suffolk County we chose to raise our family here and allow our children to share in the same memories we had growing up.
Many in our community are struggling to make ends meat as inflation is crushing families. Our small businesses are in need of elected leaders who understand the critical role they play in our economy, while also ensuring our streets are safe from crime. We also need leaders who support policies that protect and preserve our environment.
I have spent the last 21 years working within both the public and private sector. Currently, I am Executive Vice President of a government relations and economic development business. Earlier in my career, I served as a Deputy Supervisor of the Town of Brookhaven, where I worked with members of both parties to bring business and jobs to our community – a track record of success that I am very proud of.
My work within the private sector continues to closely align with my work in government. I have championed major legislation that led to the creation of thousands of jobs and hundreds of millions in local investments. I have worked to protect our natural resources, and secured hundreds of millions in funding for public and private sector initiatives.
I have a deep understanding of the legislative process given my many years working in the halls of Albany. I am well received by legislators on both sides. As a trained economic developer, I have built a stellar record as someone who understands how to find solutions to get things done for the taxpayers of Suffolk County.
The combination of my public and private experience provides me the benefit of understanding government and also the needs of the people it represents. I am passionate about public service and influencing positive change in my community. I am deeply motivated to protect and defend individual freedom, reduce crime & support law enforcement, protect our environment, support small business, and be a voice for the working people of this district and county.
I hope you will agree that we need to elect people who put our community above political ambition. Men and women with the energy and fortitude to do what is necessary and to fight for the people of the 5th Legislative District and all of Suffolk County.
My election will give the voters of the 5th Legislative District a representative who will work for all the people of Suffolk County. I will follow the issues, work 24-7, and will be committed to the highest ethical standards.
